Animal Wisdom for 2011

I promised my newsletter subscribers that I'd be speaking with the animals to find out what 2011 would bring. When I did consult with the animals, I was quite surprised by what I received. It was not, as I had expected, predictions on the year ahead, but something much better - the animals have shared their wisdom in a more personalized manner, focused on how we relate to ourselves and those around us. Here are their messages for 2011:
...You are exactly where you should be...If you were meant to be somewhere else by now, to have achieved more, become more successful, rich, satisfied... you would have done so. Where you find yourself is precisely where you need to be to learn your next lesson. You will stay there, energetically speaking, until you learn it.
...Be authentic in your interactions with others...Whatsoever is real, you shall not pretend not to feel. Strive to be honest about what is authentic for you. This is not so much about lying or not lying, rather about choosing to present your real self to others. If you are angry, then you are angry. If you are wounded, then you are wounded. If you are vulnerable, lost, lonely, confused - then that is what is real for you. Do not take this as permission to act out and offload on others - take responsibility for what you feel, but feel it honestly.
...Stay in the moment...
Hold a 'present tense' focus. Don't drift off into nostalgic reverie and recurring memories. Likewise, be mindful of reaching forward into projected fears, things which have not happened. These are all fantasy states which remove you from the truth of this moment.
...See life as meaningful...Assume that there is reason behind everything, that everything has a purpose, that each major and minor event is decidedly meaning-full. Look towards the natural world for guidance, and you will find the meaning in the bad times and the good times.
